Pasotti Umbrellas: Always in Vogue
Monday, July 9, 2012 at 11:31AM Lately on Pinterest we’ve been exploring different types of art and photography that prominently feature umbrellas. There are so many exciting art installations that we’ll have to take a closer look at in the future, but today I wanted to focus on the umbrella as a fashion statement.
Are you familiar with Pasotti umbrellas? It’s an Italian line that was started in 1956 by Ernesta Pasotti, the mother of owner Eva Giacomini. Eva’s mother produced “‘one of a kind’ umbrellas that she sold directly, sometimes riding her scooter. Then, with my father Vittorio Giacomini, who mainly took care of sales, the company grew from a small artisan company to a large one with over one hundred employees.” Go women entrepreneurs!
Today Pasotti focuses on limited edition products.
I think they’re stunning. What about you?
