Wedding Wednesday: A Carnival Theme

Jaelithe’s Favorite Part of the Day

“The very last song on the dance floor. It finally sunk in that we had just won the love lottery! We were about to step out of the barn and into lives that we chose to devote to each other. I still can’t believe that I got to marry this man. I’ll spend the rest of my life pinching myself.”

Thomas’s Favorite Part of the Day

“Right before Jaelithe walked down the aisle. I looked around the room and realized how epic it was that we were all together. Never again will that myriad of loved ones be in one place. And they were there to celebrate the love and commitment we vowed to each other. Whoa. That’s beautiful. And then she started walking down the aisle and my world changed forever.”

Jaelithe and Thomas were married on May 14, 2011.

Wedding Wednesday: Fun Ways to Use Umbrellas in Wedding Photos

We’ve had so many fantastic photographers shoot our umbrellas in various weddings and styled photo shoots around the country. Our umbrellas have been used as decor and accessories for weddings, parties, fashion shoots, television and film, and more.

Today I’m digging through the archives to share some inspiration photos for using umbrellas as photography props for your (or your client’s) wedding day. What’s one of the coolest, awesomest, funnest things you’ve ever done?

Summer student exchange to Germany. Bavaria is my favorite place in the world. Ich liebe Deutschland! 

What’s your favorite thing to do at Pike Place Market?

Anything that involves eating. And here at the market there is a plethora of great options. 

What’s your favorite wedding style or theme?

Any style featuring pagoda umbrellas. Vintage or done with our Bella Signature, the shape just photographs amazingly.

What do you like best about working at Bella Umbrella?

Working with the most amazing women ever! I learn something new almost every day.

What’s one of the coolest, awesomest, funnest things you’ve ever done?

I studied abroad in New Zealand and in the first week I went on an adventure to a cave. I was unaware of all that this cave adventure entailed; and much to my surprise I ended up donning a wet suit and rappelling down a waterfall into a cave! Definitely the craziest thing I’ve ever done!

What’s your favorite thing to do at Pike Place Market?

I love getting some fresh flowers and getting some Beecher’s Mac and Cheese! 

What’s your favorite wedding style or theme? 

I’m slightly obsessed with weddings (I love them all), but I narrowed down my style to: Handmade Vintage Local Urban Chic! I love everything handmade and unique, and I also love all the cool vintage wedding accessories! Local - because Seattle has so many great things to offer (think Molly Moon’s and Cupcake Royale); I also really like the idea of incorporating the city into your special day.

What do you like best about working at Bella Umbrella?

I love creating umbrella magic every day! I like seeing people’s awed faces while I’m working on an umbrella (I’m pretty surprised when things work out sometimes too)!

Wedding Wednesday: Family Traditions

Liz and Mark were married on May 26, 2012, sharing their wedding day with Liz’s paternal grandmother’s birthday. Not only did she share this special occasion, but she carried on a family tradition that her mother and maternal great grandmother began - graduating from Holy Names Academy in Seattle, WA, where Liz and Mark had their wedding ceremony.

“My husband and I rented parasols from your store for our May wedding in Seattle three-and-a-half months ago. I wanted to share with you the photos that resulted, and thank you for your service and the beautiful umbrellas!”
