A Trip to Paris, Altitude Design Summit Style
Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at 7:53AM Earlier this year, I had the chance to attend the Altitude Design Summit in Salt Lake City. If you’re not familiar with “Alt Summit,” Estelle Hayes wrote a great piece about the event on The Huffington Post. The Alt website does a good job of summing up the annual conference:
“If you’re obsessed with lifestyle, food and fashion blogs, fantastic images, smart ideas and great design inside and outside — all wrapped up with a social media bow — Altitude Design Summit is the place to be. Because we feed those obsessions.”

I learned a lot at this conference, met new friends, and attended some fantastic events, like the Girls With Glasses Paris-themed party. At this point, I hadn’t yet met Jodell or started working with Bella Umbrella, but I remember loving the black and white umbrellas that were used at the Girls With Glasses Party. Later I found out that they were the Bella Pagoda umbrellas that Jodell designed!
Also key at this party were the delicious macarons by Mercedes White, lovely notebooks and other cool products from Pinhole Press, and a fun photobooth featuring photographer Carolee Beckham.

If you decide to go to Alt Summit next year, you can still have a little bit of Paris. The Grand America has a lovely patisserie, La Bonne Vie, with delicious macarons.

You’ll almost forget that you missed the party last year.
