The Beautiful Ombre

Why choose one color when you can have many shades?!? Ombre is the perfect solution to mixing two colors.  The color transitions in a gradient fashion from one to the other.  It looks a lot like a sunset but with any color.  Whether you choose to have ombre hair, tights, cake, succulents, umbrellas, or home decor it’s always eye-catching.  Who’s eye do you want to catch?  Perhaps you need a little ombre in your life… we think so!

At the Table

When we break bread together we create moments.  Between the conversations that begin with “please pass the butter” to “which fork do I use?” we connect and grow community.  How would you like your guests to feel at your event?  Whether you want casual and rustic, pampered and linen pressed or a Zen yoga retreat for your guests, the table will set the mood.  When you set the table, you set the mood.  Once the mood is set, your guests will take care of the rest.  They will laugh, cajole, eat, drink and be merry.  Your job then as host/hostess is to sit back, relax and enjoy the ambiance you created with the people you care about.

Just In! Bella Umbrella Hook Handle

We have a new hook handle for our Bella Umbrella Signature Pagoda.  Our line has interchangeable handles that can screw onto any existing and future Bella Umbrella Signature Pagoda canopies.   This is the first hook handle Jodell Egbert, the owner of Bella Umbrella, has designed for her Signature Pagoda line.  Jodell’s creations are influenced by her background in floral design and constantly inspired by the organic spirals found in nature.  Aren’t you hooked?!?

There is something about a prop that makes a seemingly shy person just a little more adventurous and apt to strike a pose in front of the camera.  We see it daily in our Bella Umbrella brick and mortar shop on 1st and Pine in Seattle and in photos submitted to us by those who rent our vintage umbrellas.   Giving someone a scene to play with or a prop to use gets them out of their ordinary and into their extraordinary imagination.  That is when moments are captured and the best pictures seem to occur.  From a birthday party to weddings to baby showers, a photo booth is always fun!

Pretty Picture Duel: The Winners!

The Bella Umbrella Staff created a photo contest called “Pretty Picture Duel” for all of our 2012 Bella Umbrella vintage rental customers.  Why did we do it?  Because contests are FUN and we wanted to see what our umbrellas had been up to during 2012.  The only requirements were that the submissions were from 2012 and there was a rented Bella Umbrella in it.  We were so overwhelmed by the fantastic response that we decided to declare 6 winners instead of just one!  We chose to have 1st, 2nd & 3rd place along with Best Group Photo, Best Decor Photo & Best Couple Photo.  Each submission winner will receive one Bella Umbrella Signature Pagoda with two interchangeable handles.
